Fran Elias née D’Addona peacefully passed away at the Countess of Chester Hospital on 22nd May 2026, aged 40 years.
Dearly loved wife of Shai. Adored daughter of Wendy, step-daughter of Dennis. Reunited with her beloved father Fernando. Cherished sister of Mario and sister-in-law of Stacey. Much-loved aunt of Elena and Ariana. Missed by her cats she adored; Milly, Elliott, Nami, Robin, Zoro and Vivi.
Fran lost her battle with vascular Ehlers-Danlos syndrome after fighting symptoms for nearly half her life. VEDS is a rare genetic disease which also took her father. Fran’s bravery and strength has been beyond compare. Even when left bedbound for over a decade, she continued to remain positive. Thank you to everyone who has been on this journey with Fran and helped her through every day of her life, good days and bad. Thank you all.
Fran will be greatly missed by all her family and friends from The Catholic High School, Chester and Durham University.
Funeral Mass to be held on Thursday 18th June 2026 at St Werburgh’s Chester at 10 a.m., followed by burial at Blacon Cemetery. Fran wished for mourners to wear a hint of purple clothing to the funeral service.
Following the Mass for Fran, a reception will be held at The Queen Hotel, 52 City Road, Chester, CH1 3AH (next to Chester train station).
Family flowers only please. However, donations in aid of Annabelle’s Challenge would be gratefully received.
The Anderson Family have been entrusted with the arrangements. All enquiries to Anderson Family Run Funeral Directors, 11 Chester Road, Whitby Village, Ellesmere Port. Telephone: (0151) 357 2671
