I absolutely adored my uncle Dave. I have wonderful memories of him with his dogs. Walking them together just him and me. He told me the most incredible stories which at the time I totally believed. He’d take me to the races, let me take his dogs in for him. There’d always be a story and a good laugh with my uncle Dave. I will miss him so very much. Love you uncle Dave. Rest in peace 💔

My uncle Dave, used to tell us all so many stories, as kids we totally believed him, as we grew up we realised he stretched the truth a little bit, plus a bit more 😊
One of my finest memories of uncle Dave, he leads came to see us on Christmas morning.
This particular Christmas I had a Stylophone. When he arrived he took it off me and wouldn’t stop playing it,One of the songs was Daisy Daisy, needless to say I never git a look in or a go of my style phone while he was there😘, love you Uncle Dave xxxx

Uncle Dave you are missed so much 💙 I have been thinking of all my memories of you when I was growing up, from trialing your greyhounds and not being able to speak to you as you didn’t want people to know you were involved with training them as you had a better chance with the bookmakers. Walking endless miles with you and the greyhounds and listening to your stories. Playing rap knuckles and slap your hand. I remember the time your litter of greyhounds got out from nans and came onto the park where I was playing with friends, I ran to nans to raise the alarm and helped to round them up. Family get togethers we’re always fun with you telling all your stories. In the later years we used to come and visit at Astbury Lodge along with our much loved dog Nala and then at Vale Court. My mum used to drive me crazy looking for clothes for you. Love you Uncle Dave, Rest in peace 💔
