John Ritchie

John Drain Ritchie peacefully passed away at the Countess of Chester Hospital on 12th October 2026, aged 83 years.

Devoted husband to Berys. Cherished Dad to Jane and much-loved father-in-law to Tom. Adored Grandad to Amélie and Oliver, and dear brother to Cecelia, May, Tommy, Betty and Agnes.

John was loved by so many and will be deeply missed by all his family, friends and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

John’s Funeral Service will take place on Monday 2nd November 2026 at St Paul’s Church, Hooton, at 9:45 a.m., followed by committal at Chester Crematorium.

Family flowers only please, however, donations in John’s memory in aid of The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre would be gratefully received.
