Douglas 'Doug' Shingler

SHINGLER, Douglas ‘Doug’ peacefully passed away at Vale Court Care Home on 14th September 2026, aged 92 years.

Dearly loved husband of Beryl. Cherished Dad to Tony, Kim and Gary. Father-in-law to Sue and Malcolm. Dear Grandad to Dawn, Lindsay, Tanya and Sonya. Brother to Barry and brother-in-law to Derick. A much-loved Great Grandad, Uncle and Friend.

Doug, a member of Whitby Masonic Circle, will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

His Funeral Service will take place on Monday 5th October 2026 at Chester Crematorium at 3:20 p.m.

Family flowers only please; however, a donation in aid of the Hospice of the Good Shepherd would be gratefully received.
