Dave Hodgson
Dave Hodgson peacefully passed away on 10th May 2026, aged 67 years. Dearly loved husband of Debbie, adored father of Jake, Joe, Millie and Boris and Poppy the Cats, and father-in-law of Jana, Fatiha and Joe. A Grumpy Gramps to a little lady on her way.
Beloved brother of Joy, Robert, Carol and Gill; brother-in-law of Phil, Roy, Linda, Clive, Jeanette, Mark and Charlie; and cherished uncle of Joanne and Peter.
Dave was a long-time member of Chester Sub Aqua Club, a keen cyclist, swimmer and train enthusiast. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
Funeral service to be held on Thursday, 18th June 2026 at Chester Crematorium at 2:40 p.m. The wake will be held at The Cheshire Cat at 4:30 p.m.
Family flowers only please; however, donations in aid of Clatterbridge Cancer Charity would be gratefully received.
From all who knew Dave in his youth in Hertfordshire we send huge sympathies; we remember his wit, gregarity, his clever mind, his chuckle, and love of Pink Floyd, Genesis and Melanie, as well as his dance moves!
